Predicting visitors. There’s loads of articles online about how Dubrovnik old town can get overcrowded on certain days when the giant cruise ships pull in (not our small cruise ships that hold only 40 people.. the big cruise liners).
Now there’s an app for predicting the number of visitors that uses machine learning (the branch of artificial intelligence) to predict the number of people in the Old Town on a given day. This data can be useful to both citizens and tourists to help better plan their visits to the Old Town. Give it a try! https://www.dubrovnik-visitors.hr/prediction
Dubrovnik is a city in southern Croatia fronting the Adriatic Sea. It’s known for its distinctive Old Town, encircled with massive stone walls completed in the 16th century. Its well-preserved buildings range from baroque St. Blaise Church to Renaissance Sponza Palace and Gothic Rector’s Palace.
Dubrovnik is a must-see and is included on almost all our cruises and tours.
Croatia has an amazing 5,835km of coastline, including the Dalmatian Coast in the south and the Istria region in the north. There are over 1,185 islands in the Adriatic, but only about 50 are populated. The most famous islands are Hvar, Korcula, Brac and Vis on the Dalmatian coast.
